The Criminal Investigation Division handles in-depth comprehensive and complex investigations into criminal activity as well as follow-up investigations from Patrol Division reports. The Criminal Investigation Division is made up of approximately six detectives. They routinely process major crime scenes, handle evidence and interview witnesses and suspects. Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Division operate on a rotating on-call status.
