Replenysh, MRCTI, and the City of Blytheville have partnered to create a circularity center for recyclables, starting with plastic beverage bottles and aluminum cans.
Blytheville has launched its new drop-off center located at 1020 S. Elm St. You may bring all cans and plastic beverage bottles to the recycling center. An added bonus is a program through the Can Manufacturing Institute called “Cans for Cash!” Drop off your cans and receive a payout through the app usable at various retailers.
Recycling these materials reduces litter, landfill costs, and provides valuable materials to manufacturers thus reducing pollution by keeping these materials in circularity instead of making new products from raw materials.
The hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., Saturday, 9:00 A.M. – 1:00pm, Closed Sunday.
Provided success of this center, additional collection locations and acceptance of additional materials for recycling will follow.
